Οι πλημμύρες, οι δασικές πυρκαγιές και η παρατεταμένη ξηρασία εξαιτίας της κλιματικής αλλαγής επηρεάζουν την ελληνική αγροτική και κτηνοτροφική παραγωγή και αναμένεται να την επηρεάσουν ακόμη πιο έντονα στο μέλλον.Οι καταστροφικές συνέπειες των ακραίων φυσικών φαινομένων στην Ελλάδα έχουν ήδη αρχίσει να φαίνονται και στις τιμές παραδοσιακά ισχυρών ελληνικών προϊόντων στα ράφια των γερμανικών σούπερ-μάρκετ.
Ο λόγος κυρίως για δημοφιλή και ιδιαίτερα αγαπητά προϊόντα, όπως το ελληνικό ελαιόλαδο, οι ελιές αλλά ακόμη και η φέτα. Ως προς το ελαιόλαδο, που αποκαλείται «νέος χρυσός», οι τιμές του κυμαίνονται από δέκα ευρώ το λίτρο και αγγίζουν ακόμη και τα 20 ευρώ.
Μια σύντομη βόλτα σε συνοικιακό σούπερ-μάρκετ του Βερολίνου επιβεβαιώνει την τάση αυτή. Στα γερμανικά σούπερ-μάρκετ βρίσκει κανείς κυρίως μπουκάλια του μισού λίτρου, που επίσης είναι απλησίαστα, με πολλούς Γερμανούς καταναλωτές να τα αφήνουν άθικτα, επιλέγοντας άλλα φυτικά έλαια για μαγειρική και σαλάτες. Μάλιστα όσο ανεβαίνει η ποιότητα ή όταν πρόκειται για πιο «ιδιαίτερες» ή βιολογικές ετικέτες οι τιμές μπορεί να ξεπεράσουν ακόμη και τα 20 ευρώ.
Δεν αναμένεται άμεσα μείωση των τιμών
Σε πρόσφατο ρεπορτάζ, το περιοδικό Focus αναφέρει μάλιστα ότι η Ελλάδα, ο τρίτος σημαντικότερος εξαγωγέας ελαιολάδου στη Γερμανία, υπέστη σοβαρές απώλειες φέτος. Για παράδειγμα στην Ρόδο κάηκαν πολυάριθμοι ελαιώνες με εκτιμήσεις να κάνουν λόγο για μείωση της απόδοσής τους κατά 50%. Σε περιοχές όπως η Κρήτη ή η Ζάκυνθος εκφράζονται φόβοι, σύμφωνα με το Focus, για μείωση έως και του 70% της σοδειάς. Όσο για τις διάσημες και στη Γερμανία ελιές Καλαμών, σε ορισμένες περιοχές οι απώλειες εξαιτίας των υψηλών καλοκαιρινών θερμοκρασιών, μπορεί να αγγίξουν ακόμη και το 80%.
Σύμφωνα με το ρεπορτάζ, αύξηση καταγράφεται και στις τιμές χονδρικής πώλησης του ελαιόλαδου, από τις οποίες όμως δεν επωφελούνται οι παραγωγοί αλλά οι μεσάζοντες. Το γερμανικό περιοδικό παρατηρεί μάλιστα ότι δεν αναμένεται ομαλοποίηση των τιμών μέχρι το 2024-2025, κι αυτό μόνο εφόσον δεν μεσολαβήσουν κι άλλες φυσικές καταστροφές σε χώρες-παραγωγούς ελαιολάδου, όπως η Ελλάδα, η Ισπανία, η Τουρκία και η Ιταλία.
Τυρί «πολυτελείας» η ελληνική φέτα
Ενδιαφέρον όμως προκαλούν και οι διακυμάνσεις στην τιμή της ελληνικής φέτας, αγαπημένο τυρί και των Γερμανών καταναλωτών. Τα 200 γραμμάρια συσκευασμένης φέτος σε ένα συνοικιακό σούπερ-μάρκετ της γερμανικής πρωτεύουσας κοστίζουν περίπου 3 ευρώ. Ουσιαστικά πρόκειται για ένα κομμάτι τυριού φέτας, για το οποίο πλέον οι Γερμανοί καταναλωτές θα πρέπει να βάλουν βαθιά το χέρι στην τσέπη.
Το Focus επισημαίνει επίσης ότι το 70% της ελληνικής φέτας παράγεται στη Θεσσαλία, την περιοχή δηλαδή που επλήγη σε τεράστιο βαθμό από τις πλημμύρες, ενώ το 60% της συνολικής παραγωγής ελληνικής φέτας εξάγεται. Η Γερμανία μάλιστα είναι ο «καλύτερος αγοραστής» φέτας, απορροφώντας το ένα τρίτο των ελληνικών εξαγωγών.
