Καταιγιστικές είναι οι εξελίξεις στο θέμα της δολοφονίας του δημοσιογράφου Γιώργου Καραϊβάζ μετά τις δυο συλλήψεις.
Οι Αρχές σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες ξεσκονίζουν φακέλους πριν τη δολοφονία Καραϊβάζ και συγκεκριμένα από το 2018 και ήδη πάνω από 20 συμβόλαια θανάτου τα τελευταία 4 χρόνια ψάχνουν να βρουν τον ηθικό αυτουργό αλλά και τον εκτελεστή.

Σύμφωνα με το ρεπορτάζ του Star θα ρίξει φως σε υποθέσεις όπως αυτή του Γιώργου Λίτσα που δολοφονείται το 2018, του Βασίλη Γρίβα που εκτελείται μπροστά στο παιδί του το 2017, του Γιαννη Σκαφτούρου κ.ά.
«Η αστυνομία έπιασε τον Μίτο της Αριάδνης και θα οδηγηθεί και σε άλλες συλλήψεις. Ανθρώπων που εμπλέκονται και σε άλλες υποθέσεις και πιθανότατα έχουν σκοτώσει» δήλωσε ο ειδικός αστυνομικός αναλυτής Στράτος Μπαλάσκας στο ρεπορτάζ του Star.

Ο γνωστός σαν «καράφλας» στην αθηναϊκή νύχτα εκτελείται έξω από το σπίτι του στις 27 Ιουνίου του 2018. Τον «γαζώνουν» με 60 σφαίρες. Καλάσνικοφ και ένα πιστόλι είναι τα όπλα των δραστών.

Ο δολοφόνος του ήταν πεζός και τον πυροβόλησε πισώπλατα αδειάζοντας όλη τη γεμιστήρα του καλάσνικοφ.

Σύμφωνα με το Star o 48χρονος ιδιοκτήτης του βαν έχει δώσει δύο καταθέσεις στις αρχές πριν τη σύλληψή του. Στην πρώτη κατάθεση και στην ερώτηση γιατί το βαν βρισκόταν στον Άλιμο, είπε πως δεν θυμάται ενώ τον κάλεσαν για συμπληρωματική κατάθεση στις 10 Απριλίου. Σε αυτή ισχυρίζεται πως «ήμουν στον Άλιμο, μοίραζα φυλλάδια για 4ημέρες» ενώ προσκόμισε έγγραφα για τη δραστηριότητα της εταιρείας στην περιοχή και αρνήθηκε την οποιαδήποτε εμπλοκή στη δολοφονία του Καραϊβάζ.
Την ίδια ημέρα έγινε και έλεγχος από την Οικονομική Αστυνομία στην εταιρεία καθαρισμού, στην οποία είναι ιδιοκτήτρια η σύντροφός του και ανήκει το βαν.
