Μέλη της ελληνικής αποστολής ανθρωπιστικής βοήθειας στη Λιβύη, τραυματίστηκαν σήμερα (17.9.2023) σε τροχαίο ατύχημα που έγινε στη χώρα.
Μετά από την Ελλάδα, η Λιβύη χτυπήθηκε από ακραία καιρικά φαινόμενα, με αποτέλεσμα να πεθάνουν χιλιάδες άνθρωποι και να αγνοούνται πολλοί ακόμη. Σήμερα το πρωί απεστάλη στη χώρα προσωπικό του Ελληνικού Στρατού, αλλά το μεσημέρι έγινε το τροχαίο ατύχημα.
Η ανακοίνωση του ΓΕΕΘΑ:
Από το Γενικό Επιτελείο Εθνικής Άμυνας ανακοινώνεται ότι τις μεσημβρινές ώρες της Κυριακής 17 Σεπτεμβρίου 2023, το λεωφορείο που μετέφερε το υγειονομικό προσωπικό των Ενόπλων Δυνάμεων που είχε μεταβεί στην Λιβύη στο πλαίσιο συνδρομής της Χώρας μας, συγκρούστηκε με όχημα που κινούνταν στην αντίθετη κατεύθυνση.
Συγκεκριμένα σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες από τις αρμόδιες διπλωματικές αρχές της Ελλάδας, από την σύγκρουση που συνέβη κάτω από αδιευκρίνιστες μέχρι στιγμής συνθήκες, στελέχη έχουν υποστεί ελαφρούς τραυματισμούς.
Όλοι οι τραυματίες έχουν μεταφερθεί σε κοντινά νοσοκομεία της περιοχής.
Τα αίτια και οι συνθήκες του περιστατικού διερευνώνται σε συνεργασία με τις Λιβυκές αρχές, ενώ βρίσκεται σε εξέλιξη επιχείρηση συγκέντρωσης του προσωπικού στην Βεγγάζη και επαναπατρισμού του. Αεροσκάφος C-130 στην 112 ΠΜ στην Ελευσίνα με νοσηλευτικό προσωπικό βρίσκεται σε ετοιμότητα απογείωσης.

Η ελληνική αποστολή που μετέβη προς παροχή ανθρωπιστικής βοήθειας στη Λιβύη, είχε σήμερα αυτοκινητιστικό ατύχημα κατά τη διάρκεια της οδικής μετάβασής της στην πόλη Ντέρνα.
Σε συντονισμό με το Υπουργείο Εθνικής Άμυνας, τον ΟΗΕ και την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση, το Γενικό Προξενείο της Ελλάδας στη Βεγγάζη είναι σε ετοιμότητα για να παράσχει βοήθεια στην αποστολή και να συνδράμει στον επαναπατρισμό της.
