Η Ελένη Φουρέιρα, λίγο πριν τον ερχομό του πρώτου της παιδιού, παραχώρησε συνέντευξη στο περιοδικό Vogue Greece, μιλώντας, εκτός των άλλων, για την εγκυμοσύνη και τις δυσκολίες που αντιμετώπισε, αλλά και για τον Αλμπέρτο Μποτία.
Η τραγουδίστρια που έχει κρατήσει χαμηλό προφίλ από τη στιγμή που ανακοίνωσε την εγκυμοσύνη της, αναφέρθηκε στις αποτυχημένες εξωσωματικές, λέγοντας: «Πάντα ήθελα να γίνω μητέρα, απλώς δυσκολεύτηκα πάρα πολύ. Ήταν αρκετός ο χρόνος που το προσπαθούσα, έτυχε σε εμένα να είναι πιο δύσκολο, όπως και σε πολλές άλλες γυναίκες. Θέλω να τους πω ποτέ δεν πρέπει να απογοητεύονται».
Όπως είπε χαρακτηριστικά η Ελένη Φουρέιρα, προσπαθούσε 1,5 χρόνο να αποκτήσει παιδί. «Εκεί που νιώθεις ότι θες να τα παρατήσεις, εκεί που λες δεν αντέχω να δω και άλλο αρνητικό τεστ, γίνεται ένα θαύμα. 1,5 χρόνο πάλευα, πέρασα από αποτυχημένες εξωσωματικές, από πολλούς γιατρούς και τελικά, το μωρό ήρθε, φυσικά».
Μάλιστα, η τραγουδίστρια μίλησε και για τις δυσκολίες που αντιμετώπισε στην εγκυμοσύνη της, αφού έπαθε αποκόλληση στις πρώτες εβδομάδες της κύησης.
«Μπορώ να πω ότι στην αρχή της εγκυμοσύνης μου, πέρασα αρκετά δύσκολα. Στις πρώτες εβδομάδες της κύησης, έπαθα αποκόλληση που με ανάγκασε να ακυρώσω όλες μου τις επαγγελματικές μου υποχρεώσεις και να μείνω στο κρεβάτι τρεις μήνες. Ήταν μία δύσκολη περίοδος για μένα. Στενοχωρήθηκα, έπεσα πολύ» και πρόσθεσε:
«Με θυμάμαι καθηλωμένη σε ένα κρεβάτι να διαβάζω σε sites ή σε εκπομπές για μια φημολογούμενη εγκυμοσύνη ή να ακούω ανθρώπους σε εκπομπές να μιλάνε για το φύλο του μωρού, τη στιγμή που εγώ ούτε είχα δηλώσει ότι είμαι έγκυος, ούτε ήξερα αν την άλλη μέρα θα έχω το παιδί. Δεν κατηγορώ κανέναν, καταλαβαίνω ότι κάνουν τι δουλειά τους απλώς για εμένα ήταν βάρβαρο. Ας πούμε ότι ήταν μια στιγμή που θα ήθελα να μη ξέρουν το όνομά μου».
Όσον αφορά τον σύντροφο της Αλμπέρτο Μποτία, είπε πως είναι πολύ υποστηρικτικός σαν σύντροφος και πιστεύει ότι η πατρότητα θα του ταιριάξει απόλυτα.
«Ο πρώτος άνθρωπος που μοιράστηκα το νέο για την εγκυμοσύνη ήταν ο Αλμπέρτο, φυσικά. Ήταν και είναι ένας τρομερά υποστηρικτικός σύντροφος και είμαι σίγουρη ότι θα είναι φανταστικός μπαμπάς. Είναι ο ιδανικός συνοδοιπόρος και στις χαρές και στις δυσκολίες».
