Ένα εύκολο απόγευμα Τετάρτης πέρασε ο Ολυμπιακός στο Καραϊσκάκη κόντρα στον Αστέρα Τρίπολης, επικρατώντας 5-0 στο πλαίσιο της 15ης αγωνιστικής της Super League. Νέο εύκολο κλέψιμο στα χαφ από τον Εμβιλά, ξανά η μπάλα πήγε στον Φορτούνη ο οποίος με μια υπέροχη διαγώνια μπαλιά έβγαλε τετ-α-τετ -αυτή τη φορά- τον Μπιέλ και ο Ισπανός με επίσης ωραίο πλασέ με το αριστερό έγραψε το 1-0. Λίγα λεπτά μετά, ο Αστέρας στη μία και μοναδική προσπάθειά του για να απαντήσει αστόχησε δις, όταν στη φάση του 8′ ο Πασχαλάκης έπιασε το σχεδόν εξ επαφής σουτ του Μπαράλες και στη συνέχεια το σουτ-ριμπάουντ του Κρέσπι σταμάτησε στο αριστερό δοκάρι των Πειραιωτών.
Μετά το δεκάλεπτο ο ρυθμός έπεσε για λίγη ώρα, με τον Ολυμπιακό να κάνει κατοχή μπάλας με υπομονή, ψάχνοντας το δεύτερο γκολ που φαινόταν ότι θα σφράγιζε τη νίκη του. Στο 32′ ο Φορτούνης έχασε καλή ευκαιρία με κοντινή κεφαλιά άουτ, μετά από σέντρα του Ανδρούτσου και στο 35′ ήρθε τελικά το δεύτερο ερυθρόλευκο γκολ. Ο Χάμες έπαιξε το «1-2» με τον Ινμπόμ, ο Κολομβιανός βρήκε λίγο χώρο διαγώνια έξω από την περιοχή και με ένα αριστερό «τούβλο» άφησε άγαλμα τον Παπαδόπουλο, στέλνοντας τη μπάλα στην αριστερή του γωνία για το 2-0. Ως το φινάλε του πρώτου μέρους, ο Ολυμπιακός διαχειρίστηκε το αποτέλεσμα χωρίς πρόβλημα, ενώ ο Φορτούνης είχε ένα καλό πλασέ στο 43′ που μπλόκαρε στη γωνία του ο Παπαδόπουλος.
