Δύο μόλις εβδομάδες απομένουν για την ανάδειξη του Αυτοκινήτου της Χρονιάς 2024, του μοντέλου δηλαδή που ξεχωρίζει από όλες τις νέες αφίξεις των τελευταίων 12 μηνών στην ελληνική αγορά. Για τον λόγο αυτό, την Τετάρτη 29 Νοεμβρίου 2023, οι 27 δημοσιογράφοι-μέλη του θεσμού «Αυτοκίνητο της Χρονιάς για την Ελλάδα» βρέθηκαν στο καθιερωμένο πλέον ραντεβού τους στο Αυτοκινητοδρόμιο Μεγάρων μαζί με τα 10+1 μοντέλα που διεκδικούν τον φετινό τίτλο.
Στο ασφαλές και ελεγχόμενο περιβάλλον της πίστας, τα μέλη του θεσμού είχαν την ευκαιρία να οδηγήσουν ξανά όλα τα υποψήφια για τον τίτλο «Αυτοκίνητο της Χρονιάς για την Ελλάδα 2024» μοντέλα, ορισμένα μάλιστα από αυτά σε νέες εκδόσεις τους που μόλις έφτασαν στη χώρα μας (και κατά συνέπεια δεν είχαν οδηγήσει νωρίτερα), καθώς και να τα συγκρίνουν άμεσα μεταξύ τους πριν καταλήξουν στην τελική τους απόφαση σχετικά με την κατανομή των βαθμών ανά υποψηφιότητα, η οποία θα κρίνει και τον νικητή.

Υπενθυμίζεται ότι το Αυτοκίνητο της Χρονιάς είναι ένας θεσμός που καθιερώθηκε το 2006 και υλοποιείται από τον «Σύλλογο Δημοσιογράφων για το Αυτοκίνητο της Χρονιάς για την Ελλάδα», μέλη του οποίου είναι 27 έμπειροι δημοσιογράφοι του ελληνικού ειδικού τύπου. Κάθε δημοσιογράφος έχει στη διάθεσή του 100 βαθμούς για να απονείμει στα 10 υποψήφια μοντέλα (που φέτος λόγω ισοψηφίας είναι τελικά 11), δίνοντας ως μέγιστη βαθμολογία το 20 και ως ελάχιστη το 5, ενώ στη συνέχεια θα πρέπει να δημοσιοποιήσει το σκεπτικό της απόφασής του. Νικητής είναι βέβαια το μοντέλο που θα συγκεντρώσει την υψηλότερη βαθμολογία. Η ανάδειξη του φετινού νικητή και η απονομή του μεγάλου βραβείου είναι προγραμματισμένη για τις 13 Δεκεμβρίου, σε ειδική εκδήλωση που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο Αυτοκινητοδρόμιο Μεγάρων.
