Ο πρόεδρος της UEFA, Αλεκσάντερ Τσεφέριν έστειλε επιστολή μέσω της οποίας ενημέρωσε την ΕΠΟ και τον πρόεδρο, Τάκη Μπαλτάκο πως δεν πρόκειται να βοηθήσει ξανά ώστε να έρθουν elite διαιτητές στο ελληνικό ποδόσφαιρο.
Επιστολή στην ΕΠΟ και πιο συγκεκριμένο στον πρόεδρο της Ομοσπονδίας, Τάκη Μπαλτάκο απέστειλε ο πρόεδρος της UEFA, Αλεκσάντερ Τσεφέριν, μέσω της οποίας ενημέρωσε πως παύει την αποστολή elite διαιτητών, αλλά και Α’ κατηγορίας στα εναπομείναντα παιχνίδια των playoffs της Stoiximan Super League.
Αξίζει να τονιστεί πως δεν επηρεάζονται οι ορισμοί των αγώνων της Τετάρτης (03/05).

Ο πρόεδρος της UEFA κ. Aleksander Čeferin απέστειλε σήμερα την παρακάτω επιστολή στον πρόεδρο της ΕΠΟ κ. Παναγιώτη Μπαλτάκο.
Αγαπητέ Πρόεδρε, αγαπητέ Παναγιώτη,
Σε συνέχεια της πρόσφατης αλληλογραφίας μας, οφείλω να σε ενημερώσω ότι η UEFA πληροφορήθηκε με βαθιά θλίψη και έντονη ανησυχία ένα ακόμη περιστατικό που αφορά στην προσβλητική και βίαιη συμπεριφορά προς τους διαιτητές ποδοσφαίρου που είχαν οριστεί να διευθύνουν πρόσφατους αγώνες στο ελληνικό πρωτάθλημα.
Παρά τις κοινές μας προσπάθειες και υπό το φως των πρόσφατων γεγονότων, η UEFA επανεξέτασε την υποστήριξή της στην αποστολή διαιτητών κατηγορίας Elite και “Α” για να διευθύνουν τους αγώνες των playoffs της ελληνικής Superleague 1 και αποφάσισε να παύσει, προς το παρόν, την πρακτική αυτή.
Αυτά τα περιστατικά είναι πέραν του ποδοσφαίρου, είμαστε δε ειλικρινά ευγνώμονες για την ανησυχία σας επί του θέματος και όλες τις αδιάκοπες προσπάθειες της Ελληνικής Ποδοσφαιρικής Ομοσπονδίας και της Ελληνικής Κυβέρνησης να αποτρέψουν τέτοια πράγματα. Ωστόσο, αυτή τη στιγμή, πρέπει να δώσουμε προτεραιότητα στην ασφάλεια των αξιωματούχων των αγώνων μας, οι οποίοι πρέπει να κρατηθούν μακριά από τέτοιες εχθρικές και επικίνδυνες καταστάσεις.
