Είναι μία ενεργή περιοχή αυτή του Κορινθιακού.
Ο κ. Λέκκας εκτίμησε πως ένας σεισμός σαν αυτόν της τάξης των 5R, είναι δύσκολο να ενεργοποιήσει τα ρήγματα αυτά. «Χρειαζόμαστε ένα πολύ πιο μεγάλο σεισμό για να πούμε ότι υπάρχει μία διέγερση γειτονικών ρηγμάτων ή μια γενική διέγερση.
