Έχει μόλις ξημερώσει και οι κυνηγοί στο Κιλκίς έχουν συγκεντρωθεί στην πλατεία του χωριού για να ανέβουν όλοι μαζί στο βουνό. Χωρισμένοι σε πέντε ομάδες των δέκα ατόμων, φορώντας τα πορτοκαλί γιλέκα τους και έχοντας πάρει όλα τα μέτρα ασφαλείας, ξεκινούν με σχέδιο επί χάρτου την επιχείρηση μείωσης του υπερπληθυσμού των αγριογούρουνων, που έφτασαν όπως λένε να είναι όσα και οι κάτοικοι ενός μικρού χωριού.
Ο πρόεδρος του Κυνηγετικού Συλλόγου Κιλκίς, Χαράλαμπος Βασιλειάδης, μιλώντας στο Αθηναϊκό/Μακεδονικό Πρακτορείο Ειδήσεων, εξηγεί ότι τα μέλη του συλλόγου συμμετέχουν εθελοντικά στην επιχείρηση, μετά την απόφαση του Υπουργείου περιβάλλοντος και του τοπικού δασαρχείου που αφορά στη διαχείριση του πληθυσμού των αγριόχοιρων, καθώς η κατάσταση είχε φτάσει στο απροχώρητο το τελευταίο διάστημα.
«Οι καλλιεργητές είναι σε απόγνωση. Δεκάδες στρέμματα από καλαμπόκια, ηλιόσπορο και μπιζέλια έχουν καταστραφεί από τις αλλεπάλληλες επιδρομές των αγριογούρουνων. Η επιχείρηση μείωσής τους, γίνεται και για λόγους οδικής ασφάλειας. Πριν από λίγο καιρό είχε σημειωθεί ένα δυστύχημα με δύο νεκρούς και τέσσερις τραυματίες, εκ των οποίων δύο αστυνομικοί, στην επαρχιακή οδό Κιλκίς – Δοϊράνης, όταν μια αγέλη αγριογούρουνων διέσχισε το δρόμο, προκαλώντας τη σύγκρουση τριών αυτοκινήτων», σημειώνει ο κ. Βασιλειάδης.
Ο αρχηγός της κάθε ομάδας αναλαμβάνει ένα συγκεκριμένο τομέα και η επιχείρηση διαρκεί πέντε ώρες. «Ο εντοπισμός των αγριογούρουνων γίνεται με ιχνηλάτηση και με σκύλους» και όπως λέει ο επι σαράντα χρόνια έμπειρος κυνηγός ενώ η θήρευση ήταν κάποτε τρόπαιο, τώρα είναι μια επιβεβλημένη κατάσταση, η οποία μάλιστα αποτελεί πανευρωπαϊκό πρόβλημα.
Το πλάνο και το σχέδιο δράσης ορίζεται από το δασαρχείο. «Από τη στιγμή που έχει νομοθετηθεί αυτή η δυνατότητα, έχει γίνει μελέτη σε πανελλαδικό επίπεδο και όπου υπάρχει υπερπληθυσμός, δίνονται αντίστοιχες οδηγίες ώστε να μην γίνει ασύδοτη εξόντωσή τους», δήλωσε ο δασάρχης Κιλκίς Γιώργος Βούρτσας.
«Καθορίζονται περιοχές με συντεταγμένες, στις οποίες ορίζεται και ο αριθμός των θηραμάτων που πρέπει να θανατωθούν. Στη δική μας περιοχή συγκεκριμένα, έχουμε οδηγία να απομακρύνουμε έως 97 θηλυκά αγριογούρουνα και 224 συνολικά, μέχρι την έναρξη της κυνηγετικής περιόδου έως 14 Σεπτεμβρίου» δηλώνει ο δασάρχης.
Μετά τη θανάτωση των αγριόχοιρων, η Κτηνιατρική Υπηρεσία Κιλκίς παίρνει δείγματα στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος πρόληψης ελέγχου για την αφρικανική πανώλη των χοίρων. Όπως αναφέρουν, μέχρι στιγμής, στους εργαστηριακούς ελέγχους δεν έχει εντοπιστεί κάποιο πρόβλημα. Τα μέλη του Κυνηγετικού Συλλόγου που συμμετέχουν στη διαδικασία, έχουν αποφασίσει πως το κρέας των αγριογούρουνων από τη στιγμή που διαπιστωθεί ότι είναι κατάλληλο, θα διατίθεται για κοινωνικούς σκοπούς.

Μιλώντας στο ΑΠΕ-ΜΠΕ ο γενικός γραμματέας της Πανελλήνιας Συνομοσπονδίας Κυνηγών Νικόλαος Σταθόπουλος σημειώνει οτι το πρόβλημα εντάθηκε τα τελευταία δυο χρόνια και προκαλεί έντονη ανησυχία.
«Με καταμετρήσεις και αναγωγή έχουμε καταγράψει πανελλαδικά 550 με 600 χιλιάδες αγριόχοιρους σε όλη τη χώρα. Για να επανέλθει η φυσιολογική εικόνα πρέπει να θηρευτούν 270 χιλιάδες ενώ μέχρι στιγμής έχουν θηρευτεί μόλις 60 χιλιάδες. Σύμφωνα με τον κ Σταθόπουλο επιχειρήσεις γίνονται σε όλη τη Ελλάδα. «Εμείς», πρόσθεσε, «είμαστε σε επικοινωνία με όλους τους συλλόγους μας όπου γίνονται επιχειρήσεις άλλες με μικρότερη κι άλλες με μεγαλύτερη επιτυχία».
